NEVERSINK INVITATIONAL // A RETROSPECTIVE : 2012

Leading up to David August Trimble’s NEVERSINK invitational this year, we’re doing a history and photo retrospective on the race since it’s start in 2011.

NLLTL will be there for this year’s race, as well as doing an adventure cam gallery of David’s day during the race.

“I remember checking in riders and seeing a strange looking kid with long blonde hair who turned out to be Evan Murphy’s kid brother. We all thought it was cute that he was tagging along for the ride. Halfway up the first climb he dropped his chain and I thought “so much for that”. Three hours later Kyle Murphy had demolished everyone finishing almost three minutes ahead of his brother in 2nd. Dan Chabanov took the last spot on the podium but was nowhere near the Murphy brothers. This race can also be remembered for the brilliant attack by the cagey Keith Snyder and Matt Cuttler who jumped ahead before the first steep climb. The move put the uncompetitive Snyder and Cuttler into the front group well into the Sugarloaf Climb.”
