Gravel Grinding in the Gorge // Hood River, OR.

Early season riding in the Pacific Northwest is just a continuation of the wet, dreary, and cold days of the fall Cyclocross season… just much longer distances and more coffee than the 24oz of drink mix in our bidons. It’s right around February when the drag of the winter really takes hold to those that are committed and finding dry roads is absolute priority number one. Even the “February Fakeout” cannot be a reliable break from winter miles so we set out east to the desert in search of more favorable spring weather and had our selves a mini training camp anchored in Hood River, OR.

Riders from Mettle Cycling, The Athletic, and Ten Speed Hero came through (Jake Szymanski, Bear Holm, and Zach Rotstein).
